This information may be shared within Indwell as needed for specific purposes—at all times respecting the confidentiality of such information. Personal information will not be shared outside of Indwell unless required by law, or for the purposes of processing a donation, such as a credit card transaction.

Indwell, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Waterloo Region, has been invited to provide interdisciplinary wraparound health supports and services for 80 tenants already living in two buildings operated by Waterloo Regional Housing, beginning April 2022.
We have discovered that many of the tenants in each building are living with deep food insecurity and lack basic necessities. With support from our team, tenants will improve their living conditions, including food and other basic items. This will be the foundation for helping tenants to set and achieve personal wellness goals, becoming self-sufficient as they develop supportive relationships and thrive in their communities.
Indwell’s goal is to provide holistic care to specific tenants while also fostering community with all residents in each building. We will bring our values of dignity, love, and hope into the communities at each location and help each tenant work towards a fuller measure of health and wellness in their lives.
We are in the process of recruiting and hiring the permanent staff team. In the meantime, staff have been seconded from other Indwell programs for up to three months to launch the support services. Supported and trained by members of Indwell’s cross-regional teams, our interdisciplinary staff team will come alongside each tenant to offer housing services, nursing care, mental health, and addiction support across both locations.
Long-term sustainable funding has been secured through the Ministry of Health and Waterloo Region to cover the ongoing support services that our team will offer. However, the expenses of the Indwell startup phase, required to transform the existing culture and expectations, are significant; it is critical that we enter our wraparound relationship fully equipped to support each individual well from the outset.

Standard supports wrap more loosely around the tenant, and are offered in every program. Every program offers housing support, and in addition may offer other supports such as Nursing, Behavioural Therapy, Nursing, Recreationist, Psychosocial, or Therapeutic Rehabilitation
