As we look back on the past year, I’m incredibly grateful for the community of individuals, including yourself, that stands together with us to bring hope and healing to our neighbours.
With each prayer, donation, and volunteer hour you and I are building something better for each and every one of us.
If you were able to watch our Virtual Road Trip—or the Community mini-series that we premiered that night, referenced in the enclosed newsletter—you probably have a pretty good sense of this what this look like. Perhaps more than ever before, we’ve seen the value of community within our programs, and it’s people like you that have made this possible.
Just last month 15 people facing homelessness or precarious housing situations moved into their new homes in our first project in St Thomas, and in the coming year we expect another desperately needed 300 (plus) new homes to open across Southern and Southwestern Ontario, including in Mississauga, Simcoe, London, and Hamilton! For an up-to-date listing of upcoming communities visit our projects page here.
Of course, launching new programs is one thing, but many resources are needed to support tenants day-to-day. From direct support work to maintenance to administration, there are many critical moving parts that you help keep going with your generous donations.
As we look forward to the new year with hope and anticipation, will you consider a year-end gift to support people who will be moving into their new homes with Indwell in 2022? You will be a part of helping each one attain health, wellness and belonging. You can also find special giving opportunities at indwell.ca/gifts-of-hope.
Together with the Indwell community, I wish you a Christmas filled with hope, peace, and love!
