What do you mean by “harm reduction?”

We take a harm reduction approach in our work. Harm reduction and recovery are not separate things. Recovery often starts with people taking responsibility for reducing their own harm and genuinely engaging with others around this. An everyday example of harm reduction is using sunscreen when outside in the sun.

In all our work, we focus on building relationships that enhance individuals’ strengths. By respecting people’s current stage in life, encouraging them to achieve goals, and supporting their values while setting aside biases, we can help them see possibilities they may not have believed existed.

Send a note of encouragement

Now more than ever, it is important that our tenants feel connected with others, even if they cannot be physically connected. Send a note of encouragement to be shared with our tenants who are feeling isolated at this time.
