Seeking 100 Londoners to build a stronger community

One hundred years ago, Londoners came together to build Victoria Hospital at South Street. Today, we are seeking 100 Londoners with vision, generosity and heart, to create new homes for Londoners living at our community’s margins by donating $50,000.

Indwell is creating new, permanent affordable housing as part of a mixed rent development at the former Victoria Hospital grounds on South Street. Indwell is redeveloping two heritage buildings, transforming these spaces to be centres of care once again.

Permanent Affordable Housing with Supports

London is facing an affordable housing and homelessness crisis. People are sleeping under tarps and in shelters, our psychiatric hospital services are over capacity, and our EMS and police services are stretched thin providing crisis mental health services on our streets. Supportive housing is a proven solution to homelessness.

Indwell’s programs offer a supportive community
for people seeking to transform their lives…

...from homeless to engaged neighbours,

from poor mental health to flourishing wellness,

from dependence to supported independence.

Our robust team of professionals includes staff roles of nurses, addictions counsellors, food security workers, and apartment support workers.

Creating a Legacy

Your family, workplace, or association can provide a new home – or several – sheltering potentially dozens of fellow Londoners from homelessness over many decades. Your investment will yield community benefits for generations.

Leveraging 10x

Your gift of $50,000 will be leveraged 7X to create one unit at the Health Services building. Government programs require community investment; for every dollar we receive from the community, we can leverage about $7 from government and other sources.

Recognition

A simple pin is one way we recognize your contribution; something you can wear with pride to demonstrate your commitment to creating a better London. We also offer recognition in permanent signage in the Auditorium of the Health Services building.

Send a note of encouragement

Now more than ever, it is important that our tenants feel connected with others, even if they cannot be physically connected. Send a note of encouragement to be shared with our tenants who are feeling isolated at this time.
