Indwell has been awarded four stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ by Charity Intelligence!
Charity Intelligence researches Canadian charities to help donors identify which charities most closely align to their giving priorities, and to help them make informed giving decisions.
About 16% of the charities rated by Charity Intelligence have achieve a four star rating. Charity Intelligence reports that over 360,000 Canadians annually use their website as a go-to source for information on Canadian charities. Macleans and MoneySense use Charity Intelligence as a reference for identifying the “best” charities in Canada—looking specifically at the four star charities with the highest ratings.
The Charity Intelligence ranking is based on as assessment in four areas:
- 20% Financial Transparency (✔+)
- 40% Reporting of Results (B+)
- 20% Program Cost Coverage (Indwell did well considering that our financial model doesn’t fit well into their assessment tool)
- 20% Cost Efficiency ($0.85 of every dollar donated goes directly to our cause)
Indwell is only one of two charities under the category Social Services – Housing with a four star rating.
