Indwell,an affordable housing agency, is getting ready to start renting units in one downtown London building as it prepares to break ground on another.
Indwell will make apartments at its new building at 356 Dundas St., available by June, and hopes to have shovels in the ground by fall at 744 Dundas, site of the former Embassy Hotel, said Graham Cubitt, the agency’s projects director.
“We believe everything is lined up for project viability,” he said of 744 Dundas St. “We feel there is momentum now around this. We are aware of the challenges facing people in London around supportive housing and we feel hopeful we can achieve this.”
